A better way to send out party invites

July 26, 2007 · Leave a Comment

A lot of my friends use Evites (or even the dreaded Facebook Event Utility!) to announce their parties. There are obvious limitations about someone having access to the internet and checking their email or facebook often enough to get the evite in time, or even simply changing their email address. Beyond this, there is also the impersonal aspect to the whole thing.

Instead, use Phonevite. This Free service allows you to record an announcement or invitation and enter in all the phone numbers of people you want to invite. The web service calls those people- with your number showing up on the caller ID – and plays the recording! Saving you time, but also adding that personal and still novel (at least the first couple times you get these) touch.

Still confused? Check out the demo.
