I already knew this: iPhone users may know too much

The title of this article from the LA Times – “The Risk for iPhone users, they know too much”.

I could have told you that. The whole reason I got my iPhone is so I could be connected to the internet everywhere. When I need to know something (bank balance, what that email said, where the closest movie theater playing juno is…) I just whip out my phone and look it up.

Apparently those poor souls without iphones think the gifted are a little too smug in their source of unlimited knowledge.

“It’s turned me from a really annoying know-it-all into an incredibly annoying know-it-all, with the Internet to back me up,” said Sadum, a technology writer in Denver. “It’s not a social advantage.” That’s nice, but as Sadum warned, you should pick your iPhone moments carefully. “The second you go into the pocket for the iPhone, you have disconnected yourself from the conversation,” she said. “No one has the patience.”

So, not only might people who text too much be crazy, if you are doing it on an iphone you might be a jerk too. And there is nothing worse than a smug insane person.
