Confessional #1984

I’m going to confess something kind of embarrassing, because I think in the end it will help my friends, and anyone else who reads this blog.

I have combination skin. This means my skin is dry in certain areas, and oily in others. I have the typical T-zone oily skin. So my nose and forehead are oily while the rest of my face is dry.

So, I break out in the oily areas more often. And generally, those areas just appear oily. To help combat this, I use two products in the shower- a facial scrub and a facial wash designed for oily skin.

But, by far the best product I use are Biore Pore Cleansing Strips. They are like white band aids you stick on your face for 15 min, and when you peel them off, all the dirt and gunk on your face comes off on it.

Probably the most embarrassing thing about using these things is buying them at the store. They come in a seaweed green and pink box. It’s like buying Lilly brand beauty products. I don’t know why these aren’t marketed to guys. Guys use other skin products, and some guys even buy makeup. I bet more guys would use this if it came in more gender neutral box.

But, I promise you they work. The first time you use them you kind of get grossed out at what you see on the strips. If you try this based on my recommendation, leave me a note and tell me if you are impressed. I bet your skin looks better after the first use!
