Here is the worst kept secret in the GOP. McCain has a huge temper. He has been known to outright cuss out other politicians. And he visibly gets angry is someone really rattles him.
The reason you don’t know this is that the Dem candidates are still too busy fighting each other that they haven’t had a chance to attack him yet. It will come with time.
However, I did run across a story that is indicative of McCain’s anger. From the raw story:
In his 1992 Senate bid, McCain was joined on the campaign trail by his wife, Cindy, as well as campaign aide Doug Cole and consultant Wes Gullett. At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain’s hair and said, “You’re getting a little thin up there.” McCain’s face reddened, and he responded, “At least I don’t plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt.”
Why didn’t you hear about this? Well, for one it was during his senate campaign. When is the last time you heard anything about a senate campaign unless there is a sex scandal? Also, it was during a small interview with a local paper, and the paper didn’t quite know how to cover the incident, since they aren’t used to large political scandals, and it was a conservative family newspaper.
Actually I hear this brought up all the time on cable news.
There was even a story like a month ago where he “blew up” on some reporter.
It’s out there.
wow, that’s an interesting quote… I knew about his temper but don’t remember having come across this before.
