Obama-Kaine sounds like a pain reliever

Although, after the past 8 years of this administration, maybe a pain reliever is just what this country needs.

Jokes and terrible puns aside, Tim Kaine – VA’s current Governor is “very high” on Obama’s VP list. He shares the spotlight with some big names like Joe Biden and Sam Nunn.

Tim Kaine was the Lieutenant Governor to Mark Warner, VA’s last Governor, also a Democrat. He would probably be very open to this possibility because VA has term limits for its Governor to one term.

This would be quite the jump for Mr. Kaine, who hasn’t been in office very long. He would eprobably be in the white house sooner than Warner,  who had previously mentioned running for President, but is now running for Senate in Virginia. Although, I’m sure he wouldn’t hold a grudge.

Admittedly, Kaine does have some shortcomings. He is green, like Obama. So he doesn’t add the balance that could give Obama some experience to lean on when campaigning for votes. Joe Biden for example, has foreign policy experience that Obama lacks.

However, he is another Washington outsider who wouldn’t have a lot of ties and favor owed, which is probably appealing to Obama. And, it could help Obama win VA -  a critical swing state in the fall.
